Our story
A Kolkata press, built on books
Inkwell Press began in 1999 as a small composing room on a lane near College Street, with one machine and a simple idea: every writer deserves to see their work in print, properly made.
Over the years we grew into a full publisher and printer. Editors, designers, binders and distributors now work under one roof, so authors deal with one team instead of chasing five vendors.
Today we work with first-time authors, poets, historians and institutions across Bengal and beyond — and we still check every proof copy by hand before the full run begins.
