Publishing
How long does it take to publish a book?
+
Most books take 6 to 10 weeks from the final approved text: about 2 weeks for design, 1 for the proof copy and 3 to 5 for printing and binding.
Publishing
Do I keep the rights to my book?
+
Yes. You remain the owner of your work. We agree the print run, the price and the distribution in a simple written note before we start.
Printing
What is the minimum print run?
+
From 50 copies. For larger runs of up to 10,000 we move from digital to offset printing, which lowers the cost per copy.
Printing
Can I see a proof before the full run?
+
Always. You receive a physical proof copy first, and the full run starts only after you approve it in writing.
Binding
Which binding options do you offer?
+
Perfect-bound paperback, sewn paperback and hardcase hardcover, with optional lamination and shrink-wrapping — all done in-house.
Delivery
Do you deliver outside Kolkata?
+
Yes. We ship across West Bengal and India by courier, and can send copies straight to bookshops, libraries or your Book Fair stall.
Delivery
Can you place my book in bookshops and online stores?
+
We distribute through our network of College Street bookshops, state libraries and online stores, and list your title in our own shop.
Payment
How and when do I pay?
+
Half of the quoted amount at the start and the rest before delivery. We accept bank transfer and UPI, and every quote is itemised.
