How a box of vegetables reaches your door

A wooden crate of vegetables ready to pack

Every box we pack starts before sunrise. A partner farmer walks the rows at first light, picks what is ripe that morning and leaves the rest for tomorrow. It is not fast, and that is the point: ripe vegetables taste better and keep longer.

Harvest, wash, sort

By seven the crates reach the packing room. Everything is washed in cold water, sorted by hand and checked for bruises. Anything that is not good enough goes back to the farm as compost, never into a box.

Pick it ripe, pack it the same week, and let the season decide the menu.

Packing day: every order is checked twice, then wrapped in paper and tied with twine.

Packed in paper, delivered the same week

Orders are packed in paper bags inside reused crates. Before anything leaves, someone on the team runs a simple checklist: freshness, weight, smell, labels. It takes two minutes per order and it has kept more than a few things we were not proud of from going out.

When the online store opens, you will see the same care in the details: honest descriptions, real photographs and a handwritten note in every box. Until then, follow the journal and say hello at the farm shop.
